Prayers for Everyone

Hello Aidmates,

It's been awhile since I've been online. I do hope everyone is doing well, but I can see from reading posts that alot of us are in desperate need of help. It's almost Christmas and being in such a bad situation makes things only worse. I feel for all the families that have small children & not being able to give them a good Christmas. Breaks my heart with, but I can pray for everyone to be safe and be with family & friends. Sometimes being surrounded by love is a great present. Unfortunately, I am not financially able to offer assistance. I feel blessed that my children are well & healthy, they understand that my situation for Christmas presents will only be minimal. Best I can do right now. Remember, just keep GOD first and He will see us thru these desperate times. Wishing all the best for the holidays. Take Care & Be Safe! Have a Very Blessed Day.  in response to LindyLou1...   LINDYLOU1'S, YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT! IN YOUR STATEMENT YOU SAY, "THE LORD WILL GET US THRU TOUGH TIMES." AT ONE TIME FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS, MY HUSBAND AND I FACED SOME "REAL" HARD TIMES HE WAS OUT OF A JOB FOR (10) YEARS. NOW, WE ARE DOING WELL. BUT, IN TODAYS ECONOMY A PERSON NEVER KNOWS WHEN THINGS GO WRONG. MY FRIEND, HER HUSBAND WAS AT HIS CORPORATE JOB FOR 25 YEARS. HE WAS MAKING $125,000.00 A YEAR. HE WAS LET-GO. WOW!! THEY ARE REALLY HAVING IT HARD. SO I  AGREE WITH YOU, NOONE SHOULD BRAG. HAVE A NICE NEW YEARS!! SANDRA35

in response to ekikaseven...   Thank you so much for your prayers. They are so much needed every day. My brother got thru his surgery today-removing the cancer from his lung-without any problems--thank you Jesus! My youngest brother is enroute now from Afghanistan for his break from work. He will have 2weeks before going back-that's a blessing also. Christmas was somewhat lonely for me, but I am blessed for my 3 children being healthy and not being in any kind of trouble. I called each one of my siblings & wished them a Merry Christmas. That's all I was able to do, financial issues are still here for me. Glad that your holiday was good & most of all Blessed. Have a Happy New Year Day-have fun & stay SAFE! For me, I will stay in & watch New Year's being celebrated around the world on TV-my favorite is Dick Clark's Rocking Eve from New York City! Good Evening Sandra35,

Thank you for your post. I know it's hard to say some things without it coming out wrong. I've done the same thing, I write my posts then I re-read to check for unintentional words being used wrong. Believe me, I am the last person that tries to brag or show off anything especially to someone that is having major difficulties in their lives. I can tell that you are the same kind of woman. I can pray for everyone and hope it means something. GOD will get all of us thru these very hard & rough times, just everyone needs to ask for His help--He will hear!!! LindyLou1 Dallas,TX

Hello Ekikaseven,

Thank you so much for your kind words. Being without my Mom is quite hard for my siblings & me. We would all gather at her house for the holidays and have such a great time. My brothers would go deer hunting & the girls would stay home with Mom to cook & catch up on each others lives. I do miss those times & I think about them alot. My siblings & I don't get together too much anymore. Guess because everyone has their own lives & they spend the time with their families. We do talk on the phone & thru email. Not the same for me. I hope your family had a nice Christmas and will bring in the New Year with lots of good things to come. I can't believe this year has gone by so fast, but hopefully the New Year will be better for all of us. I pray that our country will get better and the soldiers will get home to their families. My younger brother is in Afganistan working as a civilian, I worry about his safety daily. He is on his way home for his break from his job, so I'm happy about that. My older brother has been diagnosed with lung cancer for a second time. He will have surgery on December 28. I am going to Little rock, Ar to be with him. Please will you pray for him and keep us in your thoughts? Hope you have a wonderful and Blessed Day. LindyLou1 Dallas, Tx

Hi 'L',

I am so sorry that your mom passed away & especially on Christmas. It must bring up sad memories for you at this time of the year. I'm sure your mom would want you to remember the happy times.

I hope you have a great New Years celebration.

If you ever need someone to talk to or to vent, I'm here for you.

in response to sandra35...   I just read your comments on the post I made earlier. By no means was I trying to show my "good-luck" to others on this site. What are you talking about? I am a single parent on SSDI and struggling like most everyone else on Aidpage.  Alot of us are single Moms with no help from husband, boyfriend or getting child support from other parent. I recall that you have a husband which helps support your family. Right? So please tell me how I my post offended others or yourself. Like I said I am not financially able to offer $ assistance, but I am a Christian and can offer my prayers or just to listen to anyone that wants to talk about their issues or hardships or whatever the case may be. I do hope everyone has had a great day celebrating the birth of Jesus with family/friends or by themselves however the day was spent. My Christmas was lonely, my Mom passed away on Christmas morning in 1995. Be thankful for what you do have for it could go away in a moment. Have a Blessed day and hope your New Years Day is good and safe. LindyLou1 Dallas,Tx

Hi LindyLou,

What a beautiful post!

Prayers are very much needed. Especially in these times. G-d can change one's life. He can make it better for a lifetime. And,you are right. He will get us through the hard times. We are commanded to put our trust in Him & not in mankind.

Thank you for your prayers. We need all we can get.

TO LINDYLOU1, YOUR THOUGHTS ARE VERY NICE. BUT, WHEN THERE'S NOT MONEY FOR EVEN YOUR CHILDREN THAT WOULD BE EXTREMELY DEPRESSING. AND TO SAY, "JUST PRAY" THAT IS TOUGH. MYSELF, YES! I AGREE, WE ALL NEED FAITH. BUT COME ON! EVEN THE BIBLE SAYS, "WHEN SOMEONE IS STARVING DON'T SAY I WISH YOU WELL AND LET THEM STARVE." IT SAYS, "IF YOUR GOING TO HELP THEM, FEED THEM." PLEASE DON'T SHOW YOUR GOOD-LUCK TO OTHER'S THAT ARE LESS FORTUNATE. THANK YOU! HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS. ???
